Do you often find yourself feeling stuck in your relationships and in the same pattern of communication, feeling misunderstood and invalidated? Do you feel like you have difficulty feeling confident and setting healthy boundaries?

Are you concerned about your teen's recent behaviors? Do they seem depressed and distant? Are they having trouble with friends? Do they have low energy or seem tired all the time?

I believe in using a Client-Centered approach. With this approach, I have an empathetic understanding, unconditional positive regard, genuineness, and congruence for each client. I also most often utilize CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and SFBT (Solution Focused Brief Therapy). I use CBT to help my clients increase their self-awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and find CBT to be an effective tool to help treat stress and low self-esteem. I use SFBT to help keep my clients goal-focused and focused on solutions over problems. I use an overall integrated approach in which I integrate other theoretical orientations I believe are the best fit for each client. I believe there is not a one-size-fits-all approach and find that using an integrated approach helps to provide the best care to each unique individual.

My primary focus is to help my clients feel more confident in their communication and relationships. I strive to utilize my professional and personal skills, education, and experience to help my clients find healing, overcome obstacles and challenges, and set and achieve healthy goals and changes. I believe in using a unique approach for each client and creating a safe space where my clients can find healing, confidence, and healthy coping skills they can continue to use for a lifetime.

I utilize a holistic therapeutic approach with full body healing - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Through a holistic lens, I strive to ensure that her clients are receiving the best overall care and that all of their needs are being met.

I have experience in working with children, teens, and adults with anxiety, adjustment disorder, relational issues, and low self-esteem. I also have experience in working with couples and individuals experiencing communication concerns, divorce, relational issues, attachment issues, and adjustment related problems.

I work with teens to help guide them during life transitions and challenges they are experiencing. I aim to help them improve their communication skills and set healthy boundaries with others. I work with teens struggling with low self-esteem and anxiety, which can often arise at this life stage. I help those experiencing a range of emotions to accurately identify their feelings and their triggers and to work through them. I work collaboratively with my teenaged clients to find healing, confidence, and skills that can positively impact their relationships.

I am professionally trained to provide premarital counseling utilizing the SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts) Assessment and to assist couples towards a successful and healthy marital relationship.

I earned my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy in August 2022, graduating summa cum laude. I have a background in working with individuals and families from diverse cultures and ethnicities and integrate each client’s background into my treatments.

I am also a certified pilates instructor -- pilates is my favorite form of exercise. I use this as a practice of self care, mind-body awareness, and to stay active.

I enjoy being outdoors and hiking. My husband and I honeymooned in Sedona, AZ. Sedona has endless beautiful places to hike. I love to travel and experience new places, cultures, and food.
